How Long Does a LifeStraw Filter Last?
The two most common filters that LifeStraw uses in their product line are the membrane microfilter and the activated carbon filter which is included on some LifeStraw products to further filter the water.
Such as the LifeStraw Go, the LifeStraw Play, and the LifeStraw Flex, which has a two-stage filter consisting of both the membrane microfilter and the activated carbon filter.
So to know how long your LifeStraw filter will last you first need to know what type of filter or filters you have in your LifeStraw as they have varying lifespans.
Membrane Microfilter
The most common filter used in LifeStraws is the membrane microfilter which filters out bacteria, parasites, and microplastics and will last anywhere from 500 gallons to 1000 gallons depending on which LifeStraw product you have.
